Former Philadelphia Sixers big man Guerschon Yabusele has agreed to a two-year, $12million deal, plus a player option, with the New York Knicks, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Yabusele's Impact with the Sixers

Yabusele, 29, averaged 11 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, connecting on 38% of his three-point shots in 70 games in his lone season with the Sixers. He gave the Sixers energy and was often diving for loose balls and getting second-chance opportunities.

How the Sixers Will Replace Him

To replace him, the Sixers have added former Brooklyn big man Trendon Watford to a two-year, $5.3 million deal on Monday night. The Sixers still have Embiid and Drummond on the roster, along with second-year man Adem Bona and rookie Johni Broome as additional frontcourt depth.

Yabusele’s NBA Journey So Far

Yabusele, a three-year veteran, will be playing for his third Eastern Conference team, after starting his career with the Boston Celtics, playing there from 2017-19.

With the Knicks, Yabusele joins Jordan Clarkson, who signed on Monday, adding some bench depth, something New York lacked last season and was apparent in the NBA playoffs.
