Sixers summer league has been a popular place in recent years.

Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor, Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz have all flashed potential playing during the summer schedule.

While this years summer Sixers don't have that high profile star rookie, they do have some interesting young players to keep an eye on.

The team made its debut today with a 107-106 win over the Milwaukee Bucks summer squad, with some stand-out performances along the way, starting with this year's top draft pick, Matisse Thybulle.

Thybulle, who was the NCAA leader in steals and the winner of the 2018-19 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year had three steals in the game.

Another player who preformed was 7-foot-4 big man Christ Koumandje, who blocked five shots and scored 11 points, he could give the Sixers some minutes as a backup big man, rim protector, if he continues to impress and develop during summer league.

Last years top pick, Zhaire Smith also had a nice game, impressing with a few highlight level dunks and filling the stat sheet on 5-of-8 from the field for 10 points with three rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and one turnover in 24 minutes

But maybe the most impressive performance came from second-round pick, Marial Shayok, who was second in the Big 12 in scoring last season. he led the way with 19 points on 3-of-6 shooting from three-point land.

Up next for the Summer 76ers are the Boston Celtics tomorrow at 5:30.
