97.3 ESPN Host Heading to Play for XFL’s Tampa Vipers

Ever since tight end Colin Thompson was a young kid, he wanted to play professional football.  The Countdown to Kickoff host and contributor to the Mayes and Eytan and Sports Bash will now have his second opportunity to earn a paycheck playinig the game he loves.

After leaving Temple in 2016, Thompson was in NFL camps with the Giants and Bears and before landing with the Birmingham Irons in the Alliance of American Football League and has been working out in Cape May since the league folded.

Now Thompson is a member of the Tampa Vipers in the XFL.
