Prime Events All Star Saturday will be held at the Ocean City Intermediate School onSaturday with the best seniors from the Cape-Atlantic League facing off in the final two basketball gamesof five that celebrate the past, present and future of the CAL.

The two high school games, starting at 4:15pm, will match the best CAL seniors. Because the CAL re-aligned into three conferences this year, the all star teams were drafted by the coaches whose teamsplayed for the league titles, based on the league all star teams. At halftime of the girls game there will bea three-point shooting contest. Before the boys game, the boys will compete in a three-point shootout.Then, at halftime of the boys game, the girls and boys three-point champions will go head-to-head.This year the three-point contests have been renamed the Beth Hartman Memorial Shootouts and eachwinner will receive a $100 college scholarship.

During the two high school games, the 18th annual Boo Pergament Awards – co-sponsored by WilliamSchoppy Inc. – will be presented to the most improved players in the Cape-Atlantic League.

All MVP and shooting trophies are sponsored by the Ocean City PBA.The day starts at 11am with two games featuring grade school girls and boys from the CAL area. Bothlocal teams will play all star teams from the Camden County Grammar School League. At halftime ofeach grade school game there will be a foul-shooting contest.  The grade school games are sponsored by At The Top Basketball Camps. After the two Eighth Grade games, some of the top CAL players of the past will gather at 2:30 for theCAL Legends Game. Among those expected to play in the Legends Game are former Ocean City playerPhil Schaffer, Tory Cavalieri and Dink Triniwell of Atlantic City, Ashton Funk of Mainland, BruceDavenport of EHT, Wayne Nelson of Holy Spirit and Jose Gonzalez of St. Augustine Prep.The MVP in the high school boys game will receive the Dave Lewis Memorial MVP Award.
