Cedar Creek Alum Bo Melton Notches a Catch vs Philadelphia Eagles in Playoff Loss
Cedar Creek alum Bo Melton had one catch for 16 yards in the Green Bay Packers 22-10 loss in Philadelphia to the Eagles.
While with the Pirates, Melton was a dual threat as a rusher and pass catcher, playing for former Cedar Creek head coach Tim Watson, who is now on the Mainland staff. As a senior, Melton had 51 receptions for 766 yards and nine touchdowns, adding 451 rushing yards and seven rushing scores. As a junior, Melton was equally as productive for the Pirates, rushing for 742 yards and 13 touchdowns, adding 31 catches for 676 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Melton went on to star at Rutgers, leaving as one of the most accomplished wide receivers in program history. He played 56 games and finished sixth all-time with 164 receptions, tied for eighth with five 100-yard receiving games, and tenth with 2,011 receiving yards.
Those numbers helped him become a seventh-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2022 NFL Draft.
He later landed in Green Bay with the Packers and has become a valuable member of their deep receiving core and special teams. This season for Green Bay he totaled eight catches for 91 yards for the Packers. Over his two NFL seasons, Melton has 24 catches for 309 yards and a touchdown in 22 NFL Games.
His brother Max, also a Cedar Creek alum, just finished his rookie season with the Arizona Cardinals.
