Since the Sixers got the 3rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, many names have been put out there for who the Sixers could select there.  ESPN Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman Wednesday on The Sports Bash spoke about Jayson Tatum, De'Aaron Fox, and Josh Jackson.  There's also the possibility that Lonzo Ball or Markelle Fultz could fall to the Sixers while President of Basketball Operations Bryan Colangelo told Mike Gill that they are keeping their options open for potential trades.

Sirius XM NBA Radio Host and Forbes/Sporting News NBA Columnist Mitch Lawrence joined The Sports Bash on Friday with his perspective on the prospects available to the Sixers at 3rd overall:

"If I were (the Sixers) I’d take a shooter. I don’t know if it’s (Malik) Monk, I’ve heard great things about (Jayson) Tatum....There’s some people with Philly who don’t think (De'Aaron) Fox isn’t a top five guy, we’ll see about that talent wise....Now a lot of people love Josh Jackson out of Kansas; His Free Throw Shooting is very weak, he came on as a three-point shooter, he’s a big time competitor, but not a tremendous shooter. I’ve talked to people who think Jayson Tatum, and they’re not Duke people by the way there’s a million Duke people around, I’ve talked to people who love this Jayson Tatum kid. They think he’s going to be a big time scorer and shooter in the NBA with three-point range, that sounds like right up Philly’s alley, fits exactly what Philly needs."
