On Thursday ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported the Eagles and Titans were interested in making a trade for New Orleans Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks. While no real compensation was mentioned for the Eagles, the Titans were reported to be the frontrunners to land Cooks, using the No. 18 overall pick to entice the Saints.

When asked what it would take to land Cooks, Sirius XM NFL radio's Alex Marvez reports it would "probably" only take a second-round pick to acquire Cooks from the Saints.

Seems like a deal the Eagles would have to make, if a second round pick, is all the team would have to give up for the former first-round pick. The Eagles own the No. 42 overall pick in the draft in the second round,

The Eagles have either the 14th or 15th pick in the first round, that will be determined today at 12:30 by a coin flip.  As a guest of The Sports Bash on Thursday, 973ESPN.com Eagles insider John McMullen says he would give up the Eagles first-round pick for Cooks.

"I'd do it and not even blink," McMullen said.

"There are so many question marks with the top three receivers who might be there in this draft, they all have issues.  You have a proven, productive player who is still very young."

One challenge for a team that would acquire Cooks, he is still under his rookie deal, making him very cost friendly for the 2017 season.  However, this time next year, Cooks will be looking for a massive contract extension.

"You would think a trade would come with a renegotiation and a extension," McMullen added.
