Eagles' Jonathan Gannon Picks up a Third Head Coaching Interview

We learned earlier today that Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon will interview on Wednesday with the Denver Broncos and has an interview request from the Minnesota Vikings.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gannon is expected to interview for the Texans’ head-coaching job following David Culley being fired after one season.

With Gannon being requested to interview in Houston, that brings the list of teams he will be interviewing with to three.

The 39-year old led an Eagles defense that finished 10th in total defense, 11th in passing defense and ninth in rushing defense.

"That's my guy," said Eagles linebacker T.J. Edwards. He's got a lot of respct around here."

He was a well regarded hire by the Eagles in the offseason, but his teams struggled against the top level quarterbacks, but seem to excel against teams that has lesser quarterbacks.

The Eagles had a stretch of games where they faced QB's like Trevor Sieman, Garrett Gilbert, rookie Zach Wilson, Jake Fromm and Mike Glennon.

The defense really struggled in games against guys like Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Dak Prescott and Derek Carr.
