Eagles Rule A.J. Brown Out for Sunday’s Game in Tampa
Philadelphia Eagles fans had a little reason for excitement on Friday when wide receiver A.J. Brown was back on the practice field.
However, he will not play in Sunday in Tampa against the Buccaneers, after the team ruled him out in Saturday with a hamstring injury. Brown has missed the past two games with the injury, but should be back after the bye week against Cleveland on Oct. 13.
The team will.also be without DeVonta Smith on Sunday, so they have elevated a pair of wide outs, Paris Campbell and John Ross from the Practice Squad.
Both Brown and right tackle Lane Johnson traveled to Tampa, so it seems there is a possibility that Johnson will play. He was listed as questionable on Friday.
If Johnson can't play, veteran Fred Johnson would start at right tackle.
Also ruled out for the game was linebacker Devin White, who has yet to be on the active game day roster this season after signing this offseason from Tampa.
Speaking of Tampa, they announced that starting right tackle Luke Goedeke will miss the game, a big blow to their offensive line.
Running back Rachaad White was also listed as questionable on Saturday with an illness. Tampa announced on Friday that Calijah Kancey and Antoine Winfield Jr. would miss the game.
You can listen to the Eagles and Buccaneers on Sunday with pregame coverage at noon, Merrill Reese and Mike Quick call all the action at 1p.m on 97.3 ESPN.
