Joel Embiid and Longtime Girlfriend Announce Birth of Their First Child

Joe Embiid is now a father.

The 26-year old Sixers center Joel Embiid announced on Thursday evening, that his longtime girlfriend Anne de Paula has given birth to their first child. The couple named the boy Arthur Elijah De Paula Embiid, after Embiid's late young brother.

Embiid even joked that this is the first of 11, and that he wanted to have his own soccer team with all of his kids.
