The Sixers will be without both Josh Richardson and Joel Embiid for tomorrow nights game against the Lakers, but Embiid could be getting closer to returning to the court.

The Sixers big man, who has been out with a dislocated his left ring finger during a Jan 6 game against Oklahoma City, went through a full practice on today, including contact drills, and was seen working with Sixers coach and former NBA big man Roy Hibbert.

He will be re-evaluated on Monday with the hope that he could potentially return on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors.

Embiid told reporters he's "hoping to return next week."

And the Sixers will need him, not only have they gone a mediocre 5-3 without Embiid, they have a brutal portion of the schedule coming up with home games against the Lakers and Warriors before hitting the road for a four game trip to Atlanta, Boston, Miami and Milwaukee, so having Embiid back, especially with Richardson out would be a big boost.
