The Sixers got some news on All-Star guard Ben Simmons today.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Simmons is dealing with a nerve impingement in his lower back and he will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks.

As Shams relayed via twitter:

Simmons sustained the injury on the play prior to exiting Saturday night in Milwaukee. He will undergo daily treatment and rehab after he consulted with several specialists internally and externally.

Raul Neto, Shake Milton and Alec Burks will likely divvy up the point guard minutes, as head coach Brett Brown suggested last night.

"I'm not spinning it," Brown admitted last night before the Sixers game against the Hawks.. "Its an opportunity for us to learn and something will emerge and we need something to emerge. I think we are going to learn something."

Well we know they are going to have at least two weeks, maybe more to learn more about these guys.
