The summer league for one 76ers rookie is over.

According to a report, Richaun Holmes suffered a fractured elbow in Utah during a summer league game against the Jazz.

League sources told RealGM that the injury requires a 6-8 week recovery timetable.

On a drive with less than three minutes to go in regulation by Jazz player Wesley Saunders, Holmes landed hard on the floor after trying to block his shot. The Sixers lost to the Jazz in their summer league finale in overtime 84-78.

In the 2015 NBA Draft last month, the Sixers selected Holmes with the 37th overall selection out of Bowling Green.

Holmes participated in all three games of the summer league before the injury and registered 29 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks.

Holmes, 21, expects to be ready and fully recovered by training camp in the fall.

At 6'10 and 243 pounds, Holmes averaged 14.8 points and eight rebounds in his senior season for the Falcons, being named to multiple All-Mid-American Conference teams.
