The 2019 NBA Playoffs has been much more busier than expected for Philadelphia 76ers Assistant Coach, Monty Williams. Not only does he have to focus on the team's current series against the Toronto Raptors, but he's also focusing on securing himself a promotion outside of the organization. As we've known for a while now, Monty Williams has garnered some buzz around the league for head coach vacancies after helping Brett Brown coach the 76ers to back to back playoff runs, which extended at least until the second round.

Now, teams are looking to Williams to set up shop for himself potentially. The Phoenix Suns have been interested for quite some time now. They visited Williams a few weeks back for an initial interview; then the talks simmered down a bit. After some time passed, it sounds like the Suns seem more interested than before. According to NBA Insider Shams Charania, the Suns are going to go through with bringing in Williams for a second interview.

At this point, Williams finding a head coaching position elsewhere is inevitable as he's garnered interest from not only the Suns but from the Los Angeles Lakers as well. At this point, it seems like Phoenix will be his number one landing spot moving forward as they are now getting ownership involved with the meetings. It sounds like Monty Williams will end up with an official offer sooner than later.
