The NBA announced that it will be holding scrimmage games before the resumption of the season. Earlier today the schedule dropped for these scrimmage games.

The Sixers will play three games before their seeding games begin. Their opponents in these scrimmage games will be against the Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Dallas Mavericks.

Scrimmage Schedule

7/24 vs Grizzlies (3:30 pm)

7/26 vs. Thunder (12:00 pm)

7/28 vs Mavericks (8:30 pm)

These games can be very beneficial for the Sixers. With their first game being important regarding seeding, having a few games to knock the rust off before then is a huge positive for the team.

The Sixers are going to have their hands full in these games. They will have to face off against rookie of the year front-runner Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, and the OKC Thunder who were one of the most surprising teams this season before the suspension.

Dallas and Memphis currently sit in the last two playoff spots in the Western Conference. Meaning they will be looking to hit the ground running to keep their playoff spots intact.

Philadelphia and Oklahoma City are now linked in more ways than one this season. They will be opponents in the preseason, and the Sixers' draft status is in the hands of the Thunder as Philly will get their first-round pick if it falls out of the top 20.

It will be interesting to see if the Sixers pull out anything new in these scrimmage games. Whether it is trying different starting lineups or giving players like the newly acquired Ryan Broekhoff a chance to play their way into the rotation.
