On Thursday the Philadelphia 76ers announced they have signed signed forward-center Shawn Long for the rest of the season. Philadelphia Inquirer Sixers Beat Writer has more details:


 

After playing well for the Delaware 87ers, he was signed to the 10 Day contract with the Sixers after Joel Embiid was officially ruled out for the rest of the season. In 39 games with Delaware, Long led the team averaging 20 Points and 11 Rebounds in 30 Minutes Per Game, which earned him a 2017 NBA D-League All-Star selection. In 2017, Long has appeared in four games with the Sixers averaging 4.8 Points and 3.3 Rebounds in 7.8 Minutes Per Game while shooting 58.3% from the field.
