Philadelphia Sixers guard T.J. McConnell will sit out the team’s Saturday evening home game against the Detroit Pistons with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder, the team said.

McConnell, a third-year pro, is averaging 7.1 points, 5.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game and injured the shoulder on Wednesday  against the Wizards, and was unable to play Thursday vs. Boston.

An MRI revealed no structural damage but he is very sore, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
