Bynum to Sixers?

News came across this afternoon from a Yahoo! Sports report saying the Sixers are engaged in trade talks with three other teams involving most notably: Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol and Andre Iguodala.  In the proposed deal the Sixers would receive Lakers C Andrew Bynum, while the Nuggets would receive Sixers F Andre Iguodala.  Both Bynum and Howard are due to become free agents after this season.

More Bynum

Mike Gill says he would do this Bynum for Iguodala swap in a minute, Bynum is the second, if not the best center in the NBA and with the Sixers depth at SF they can afford to make this trade.  Ryan Messick chimes in and says if he were Rod Thorn or Adam Aron he'd have his feet up on the desk waiting for the phone to ring with all parties signing off.

Beto Duran

710-ESPN in Los Angeles Reporter Beto Duran called in and gave us the perspective of the Lakers in the 4-team trade scenario.  Duran says the Magic are the team that's holding up the deal which is a very complicated one.  In the trade the Lakers would give up both Bynum and Gasol to receive Dwight Howard, Duran says fans aren't too crazy about giving up both big-men.
