Wow. The Phillies offense was unbelievable as every starter recorded a hit. Bryce Harper hit two home runs and he was on base a total of four times. JT Realmuto crushed a grand slam as well. The Phillies are now 2-0 since John Mallee was fired. Charlie Manuel clearly elevated the team's energy with his presence in the dugout. Not only the team, but the stadium, too. Cole Hamels made his return to Citizens Bank Park and he will want to forget this one. He only lasted two innings allowing eight earned runes and nine hits. Aaron Nola, on the other hand, threw seven solid innings and recorded seven strikeouts. There is a chance to sweep the Cubs with Drew Smyly taking the mound Thursday night.
