Sports Talk with Brodes: Shorthanded Sixers Take Down Lebron & the Lakers!
The Philadelphia Sixers take down Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers even though they were shorthanded. Joel Embiid and Josh Richardson were not available as they are currently injured. Brett Brown inserted Shake Milton into the starting lineup which he held his own. Ben Simmons was the star that dominated the entire game for the Sixers. He recorded 28 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. He also had four steals. Tobias Harris dropped 29 points and Al Horford came up HUGE with 7 consecutive points down the stretch once the 76ers saw a 22 points lead dwindle to five points. Matisse Thybulle continues his outstanding defense by getting his hands in the cookie jar 5 times! Lebron James made history jumping over Kobe Bryant for third most points in NBA history. Anthony Davis recorded 31 points, but it wasn't enough. The Lakers turned the ball over 22 times and shot under 20% from deep while the Sixers had 23 turnovers, but hit 13 of 37 attempts from behind the arc.
