Sports Talk with Brodes: Sixers Fall in Phoenix & Ben Simmons Was a No Show!

The Philadelphia Sixers lose their first game of the season in Phoenix against the Suns. Devin Booker scored 40 points on 19 shots... he was absolutely sensational. Joel Embiid did not play as he was serving the last game of his suspension. Al Horford had a monster game scoring 32 points, Tobias Harris stepped up, and even Furkan Korkmaz was involved with 20 points. Ben Simmons put on a performance that was unacceptable. He went two of eight from the field with six points and only went to the free throw line one time. The Suns put Aron Baynes on Simmons which clearly frustrated him. I am not too upset they lost a game, it was just disappointing watching Simmons be that bad. He did record seven steals, but that is a flawed stat when describing his play against the Suns.
