As the days go by, it's becoming more likely that the Eagles will hire a defensive coordinator on Monday after the Super Bowl.

There are now two names associated in this Sunday's Super Bowl that are connected with the Eagles defensive coordinator search.

On Sunday, Jeff McLane reported that Baltimore Ravens LB coach Ted Monachino has surfaced as a candidate for the job.

Monachino has never been a defensive coordinator in college or the NFL, but he has tutored under defensive minds such as Chuck Pagano, Dean Pees and Jack Del Rio in Jacksonville.

49ers defensive backs coach Ed Donatell remains in the mix for the job as well. Donatell does have NFL experience coordinating a defense, he led the Packers and Falcons defenses a decade ago.

One name not connected with Super Bowl 47 is Cleveland Browns LB Billy Davis. On Monday, Adam Schefter tweeted that Davis interviewed for the Eagles job on Sunday. Davis coordinated the 49ers defense for one season in 2005 and preceded Ray Horton in Arizona as their defensive coordinator in 2009.

Davis is also expected to interview with the Jets for the same position.
