There hasn't been a lot of good news surrounding the Sixers in recent week when it comes to injuries.

The team has lost three starters in recent weeks, with Ben Simmons back, Joel Embiid's shoulder and Josh Richardson's concussion all causing them to miss multiple games.

But they might finally have some good news on the way.

Sources tell ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne that Ben Simmons, will be re-evaluated next week.

Simmons will be reevaluated next week as the Sixers wait for the inflammation around the nerve to subside. The team hopes he can return before the playoffs, sources say, and with enough time to get back into shape.

Simmons has been dealing with a nerve impingement in his lower back, and the team is hoping to get him back before the end of the season.

As this point, as Shelburne notes, the team "hopes” Simmons can be ready before the playoffs.

As for Embiid, the news sounds a little better.

the All-Star big man has been out with a left shoulder sprain, but has resumed on-court basketball activities and will be re-evaluated on Monday and could be ready to play on Wednesday per Shams Charania of the Athletic.

Either way, this season hasn't gone as many had hoped, but getting these guys back could help steer the ship back down the path many had hoped to see all season.
