Dave Weinberg’s Bears defeat Eagles 2-Minute Drill
Eagles' best number: 132 (A.J. Brown receiving yards)
Eagles' worst number: 281 (Bears rushing yards)
View from my living room:
I enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving that included dinner for 20 people, including seven children ranging in age from 9 years to four months. It was chaotic and crazy, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Three stars
- Bears running back D’Andre Swift (125 yards and a TD on 18 carries).
- Bears running back Kyle Monangai (130 yards and a TD on 22 carries).
- Bears cornerback Nashon Wright (forced and recovered fumble on a “Tush Push” by Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts).
Eagles’ best play
Wide receiver A.J. Brown caught two TD passes, including a nice grab that resulted in a 33-yard touchdown on a pass from Hurts.
Eagles’ worst play
Hurts tried a “Tush Push” from the Bears’ 12-yard line on a third-and-1 play. Wright ripped the ball loose and fell on the fumble to ruin an Eagles’ scoring drive.
Turning point
The Eagles had cut the lead to 24-15 on Hurts’ 4-yard TD pass to Brown with 3:12 left in regulation. Instead of attempting the PAT, however, Eagles coach Nick Siranni opted to go for a two-point conversion. Hurts’ pass to running back Saquon Barkley fell incomplete, keeping the Eagles two scores down.
Did you notice?
Former Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins was inducted into the franchise’s Hall of Fame.…Most of the fans were so disappointed in the team’s performance that they left the stadium midway through the fourth quarter.… Swift and Monangai became the first pair of running backs to rush for 100 yards against the Eagles since Denver’s Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell in 2005.… Barkley rushed for 56 yards on 13 carries. … Tank Bigsby did not get a carry. Neither did Will Shipley. … Eagles defensive end Jalyx Hunt had an interception.… Hurts threw his second interception of the season (to former Eagles Safety Kevin Byard III) and also lost a fumble.
