76ers owner Josh Harris said recently that his team might use their amnesty clause on Elton Brand who is still owed $18.1 million, if it allows them to sign "the right person."

"We’re a deep-pocketed, committed ownership group," said Harris. "But we’re going to be sensible about it. We’re not going to [amnesty Brand] for anyone. It would have to be for someone really good."

The one free agent that might fit the Sixers this off-season would be Dwight Howard, he might just be "the right person" that John Harris is talking about.  Other then Brand, there isn't a great fit for the Sixers, so the guess here is that Brand plays out his deal and the Sixers wait until the stacked class of 2013 to make their move.
