Bills WR could interest the Eagles

What the Eagles decide to do at the trade deadline next Tuesday will depend on the result of Sunday's game in Buffalo against the 5-1 Bills.

A win would save the season from potentially going off the rails with a three-game losing streak, and it could convince GM Howie Roseman to be a buyer.

After all, he was just that last year when the Eagles were 4-4, dealing a 3rd round draft pick for WR Golden Tate.

Philadelphia could be looking into adding another WR a year later. Their opponent Sunday might have the perfect target.

Bills WR Robert Foster went from the go-to target in 2018 to a backup who can't scratch the lineup behind John Brown, Cole Beasley, Duke Williams, and Isaiah McKenzie.

Why Foster has seen just three targets is up in the air. It should not discourage the Eagles from inquiring about the 25-year old.

Foster checks off all the boxes that Philadelphia needs in a WR.

He is young, fast, has good size at 6'2, and the asking price would be far less than the high picks being tossed around for the likes of Mohammed Sanu and Emmanuel Sanders.

The Alabama-product has 4.41 speed and averaged an eye-popping 20 yards per reception a season ago.

After being implemented into the offense during the final seven weeks of the season, Foster was QB Josh Allen's favorite target. He had three games with 100+ receiving yards and one performance of 94 yards on just two receptions.

His ability to thrive down the field would be perfect for an Eagles offense that needs all the speed and vertical threats they can get.

Foster had six catches of 30+ yards including receptions of 75, 47, 43, and 42 yards.

He also has punt and kick return experience which would be a huge plus for Philadelphia's special teams unit that is featuring RB Boston Scott as their punt returner.

The Eagles and Bills have made multiple trades over the last four years. It might make sense for both sides to call each other up once again in 2019.
