Philadelphia Eagles Four-Round Mock Draft Includes Trade into Top 10

With the 2022 NFL Draft officially less than a month away, the Eagles are still holding on to their third first-round picks, No. 15, 16 and 19.

For the Philadelphia Eagles, they have plenty of holes to fill, and can start plugging away with six picks in the top four round of the draft.

The Eagles could be looking to address cornerback, safety, wide receiver, linebacker and are always in play for a offensive and defensive line, offensive lineman.

Over at NFL.com, Chad Reuter’s posted his latest four-round mock draft, and has the Eagles moving up into the Top 10, making a trade with the Jets, taking defensive tackle Jordan Davis out of the University of Georgia with pick No. 10.

Reuter has the Eagles giving Joe Douglas, a third- and fifth-round picks to move down five spots.

Does anyone really expect GM Howie Roseman to stand pat with his three first-round selections? Re-signing Fletcher Cox to a one-year deal made sense, but the Eagles' front could use some more youth. Davis will provide an immediate boost against the run and will also give quarterbacks fits with his length and athleticism.

Davis, a 6-foot-6, 341-pound lineman, who ran a 4.78 40-yard dash at the combine, could be the teams replacement for Fletcher Cox, who signed a one-year deal to return to the team.

With pick No. 16, Reuter has the Eagles staying on the defensive line, taking Florida State defensive end, Jemaine Johnson, a freak athlete, who ran a 4.58 40-yard dash at the combine.

Even though the Eagles just signed Haason Reddick to rush the passer, Johnson's overall skill set will be valued on the edge. He and Josh Sweat would form a strong duo on early downs and either could move inside in sub-packages to bring interior pressure

Johnson could pair with Josh Sweat and with free agent addition, Haason Reddick, the Eagles would have another player who could rush the passer and give the Eagles pass rush even more depth.

Next for the Eagles at pick No. 19, Reuter has Philadelphia beefing up the wide receiver room with the selection of Ohio State wide out Garrett Wilson.

A team typically wouldn't pick a receiver in the first round in three consecutive drafts. But with the Eagles owning three Day 1 selections, and the talented Wilson still on the board, they become the first team to do so since the Lions pulled off the triple play from 2003 to '05.

Taking three wide receivers in the first-round is not ideal, but having extra draft capital allows the Eagles to try and clean up their Jalen Reagor mistake from 2020. Last season at Ohio State, Wilson had 70 catches for 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2021.

In the second round, the Eagles look to add more depth to their linebacker position, with Alabama's Christian Harris. Harris recorded 80 total tackles (12.5 for loss) to go along with 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles and is also very good in coverage, making him a three-down backer.

While the Eagles have said Jalen Hurts in their guy, that doesn't prevent them from taking a quarterback in Round 4, taking Western Kentucky senior Bailey Zappe, who put up an eye-popping, division one record 5,967 yards and 62 touchdowns in 2021.
