A source tells NJ.com that the Rams have interest in Nick Foles if the Eagles decide to trade him this offseason.  Also per the report by Eliot Shorr-Parks, the Titans and Texans would also have interest in Foles, who has one year remaining on his rookie contract.

The Rams are looking to find some competition for Sam Bradford who is coming off ACL surgery - last year they used Austin Davis and Shawn Hill.

The Titans need to decide if second year man Zach Mettenberger is the long-term answer, while the Texans went 9-7 with journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick taking most of their snaps.

Foles is a polarizing name in the Delaware Valley, his 27 touchdowns and two interceptions in 2013 made him a fan favorite among Eagles fans.  The Foles backers will point to his 14-4 record as a starter over the last two seasons,

However, his follow up campaign was shaky, turning the ball over 13 times in just over seven games and completing 59.8 percent of his passes.  His 13 touchdowns and 10 picks were a big step down from his Pro Bowl MVP season.

While there has plenty of speculation that the Eagles will make a play for Oregon QB Marcus Mariota, the Rams hold the 10th pick in the NFL draft,, will moving Foles be enough to get them from pick No. 20 to pick No. 10 and the question will be - will Mariota even be on the board at ten?

If the Eagles do move Foles and Mariota isn't on the board, then what?

The feeling from me has always been Foles is a nice QB, but he's not Chip's ideal guy. While Chip has done a great job of winning games with Foles, he knows he has reached the ceiling with him.  To truly contend for a Super Bowl, he needs his ideal fit at the most important NFL position - quarterback.
