The Atlanta Hawks will likely only have to deal with one of the Sixers’ stars on Monday night.

Point guard Ben Simmons will miss the matchup due to knee swelling while cetner Joel Embiid traveled with the team and hopes to play after missing Saturday's game with back tightness.

Simmons, who did not travel with the team to Atlanta, has averaged 13.4 points, 7.0 assists and 8.8 rebounds per contest.

Embiid has averaged 24.6 over his eight games to go with 11.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 blocks while shooting 52.5% from the field and 45.8% from three. He put up 38 points on Wednesday and 20 on Thursday before not playing Saturday.

Philadelphia will also still be be without Seth Curry, Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, Shake Milton, Vincent Poirier, Furkan Korkmaz, Terrance Ferguson and Simmons.

It appears they will have Mike Scott back.

Scott has been upgraded to probable for Monday's game against the Hawks.

The nine-year player is averaging just 4.2 points per game, but could have a larger role with some many player missing the game due to COVID protocols.

Atlanta, at 4-5, is expected to have Trae Young, who is still dealing with some soreness in the wrist, which he injured during Saturday's loss to the Hornets,.
