The Sixers were back on their home floor Tuesday night, facing off against the Toronto Raptors. After struggling for most of the first half and going down big, the Sixers managed to storm back and win the game by a final score of 100-93.

Here are some of the main takeaways from the Sixers' hard-fought win over Toronto.

Tobias Harris playing confidently

Although we are only four games into the season, this was by far Tobias Harris' best all-around this season. He was crucial to the Sixers' success tonight on both sides of the ball.

He finished the night with 26 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks. His shooting was also very effective, hitting 11 of 20 field-goal attempts and shot 2-5 from deep.

Playing under Doc Rivers again looks to be paying dividends for Harris. After a shaky start to open the season, his play continues to improve with each passing game.

The main thing Rivers has talked about with Harris is he wants him back to making quick decisions. We have seen a lot of that from him lately, especially when taking open shots from deep right off the catch.

Harris's confidence looked the highest we have seen in a while. He got to his spots and made plays in a variety of ways. This game looked a lot like the Clipper version of Harris that is brought up frequently. Hopefully, Harris can continue to build on his strong play.

Strong defense at the rim

It is no secret that the Sixers' missed Joel Embiid on Sunday against the Cavs. Along with what he brings on offense, his defensive abilities are just as elite. This game was a clear example of the type of force Embiid is defensively around the rim.

The Raptors shot just over 50% in the restricted area, making 11 of their 20 attempts there. On shots in the lane outside of the restricted area, they shot 14.3%, only make two of 14 shot attempts. Now this all can not be attributed to Embiid, but his presence played a large part in the team's defense around the rim.

Looking at this roster, it is no surprise they are turning into a defensive powerhouse. With this type of elite-level defense, the Sixers will always be in a position to win. Their ability to lock down and get stops on defense are what kept them in this game.

Coaches and players have said that they feel this team can be a top team and the league defensively, and showings like this are a strong indicator that it's possible.

Stars leading the charge

The play of the second unit has been a key talking point for the Sixers early in the season. After a quiet night from the bench unit, it was on the stars to carry the team in this game.

Joel Embiid played well and kept the Sixers afloat in the first half, and a more aggressive Harris and Simmons helped the team storm back and come away with the victory.

There haven't been many games where Embiid, Simmons, and Harris have all thrived, but they looked like a legitimate big three against the Raptors on Tuesday.

Embiid finished the game with a monster stat line of 29 points and 16 rebounds. Meanwhile, Simmons almost finished with his first triple-double of the season with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists.

This team is only going to go as far as the three of them can take it. Seeing them come out and put on a performance like this against a top-tier team this early in the season is a great sign of what's building.
