
Veteran Sixer Danny Green Announces Retirement, Closing the Chapter on a Stellar NBA Career
Former Sixers forward and NBA-time NBA champion, Danny Greem, has announced he is retiring from the NBA.
New ESPN Senior NBA insider, Shams Charania made the announcement on First Take on Thursday morning.
Green played three seasons with the Sixers from 2020-2022 and again during the 2023-24 season, appearing in a total of 133 games with Philadelphia. During his time with the Sixers, the three-point shooter connected on .395 of his shots from behind the arc.
Overall in Philadelphia, he averaged 7.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.

He is one of four NBA players to win a title with three different teams, having done it with the Spurs, Raptors, and Lakers during his 15-year career.
His best NBA season came during his one season in Toronto, where he helped the Raptors win an NBA title, scoring 10.3 points per game on .455 shooting from 3-point range.
Green was a 2009 second-round pick out of North Carolina by the Cleveland Cavaliers, which was one of six NBA franchises he played for.
He leaves the game to further focus on his media career, which includes his podcast, "Inside the Green Room".
