I feel bad for Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo, who was carted off the field in the second quarter with a serious ankle injury. I’ve been following him since his Arizona State days – my son Kyle is a 2007 ASU grad.

Eagles’ best play

Barkley turned in his best play of the season when he broke loose for a 65-yard touchdown on the Eagles’ second play from scrimmage.

Barkley limped off the field in the fourth quarter with a reported groin injury.

Turning point

The game was tied 7-7 and the Eagles faced a 4th-and-2 from the Giants’ 11-yard line. The Giants appeared to knock the ball loose when Hurts was reaching for extra yardage on a “Tush Push,” but officials ruled the play had ended. The Eagles scored two plays later on Hurts’ 9-yard pass to Barkley.
