Cedar Creek alum Bo Melton is taking a step closer to the NFL.

The Rutgers wide receiver has accepted an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL  in January.

The Senior Bowl is one of the top college football all-star games, showcasing the best NFL Draft prospects as the prepare for the NFL Draft in April.

This season for the Scarlet Knights, Melton has 48 catches for 523 yards receiving, three touchdowns. As a junior, Melton had 47 catches for 638 yards and added 235 combined kick return yards, which could make him an attractive player in the draft.

He is a team leader, bring voted a team captain for the second straight season.

 

As a senior at Cedar Creek, the Mays Landing resident had 51 receptions for 766 yards and nine touchdowns and added 451 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. As a junior, Melton had 13 rushing touchdowns and 742 yards rushing, adding 31 catches for 676 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior
